In Photo District Newswire vandaag vijf verhalen van fotografen aan het front.
My equipment gets dirty, especially once you leave the town. Most roads in towns and villages are not paved, so there’s lots of dust and mud. My Nikkor 17-35 stopped focusing beyond 5 feet, so that was major set-back. Of course, nobody can really bring in or ship any replacement lenses here. Fortunately, I brought a manual 20mm (not the greatest because the light meter doesn't work well with it) and 14mm AF. So I am getting by. My sat phone works well in the area, so I have no problem transmitting. There is an Internet cafe in town also.
